OS Landranger 69. 32 : 91 - a photo on Flickriver

The OS Landranger 69 is the classic pink ordnance survey map of the Isle of Arran, The map includes the whole of the island and a middle slither of the Mull of Kintyre - an endless peninsula made famous through Paul and Linda McCartney's excellent homestead-to-the-world  album 'Ram'. The map also includes the whole of 'Little Cumbrae island', which has two cairns on its northern point. 'Little Cumbrae Island' also has its own islands - or rocks with lofty titles. There is 'Castle island', 'Broad island' - which is anything other than broad, and a sea splashed rock known as 'Trail isle' The very southern tip of the 'Isle of Bute' also appears on five top squares. Here there is a cairn overlooking a small beach. 'Pladda' is a rock with a jetty to the south of Arran. 'Holy Island' is off Lamlash bay and has its own ferry service. Significant walking and wild horses and goats marry with a geography dedicated to spiritual sanctuary. The last island on the map is 'Island Davaar' on the east cost of the 'Mull of Kintyre'. A spit attaches its geography of lighthouse and cave.
