Looking over the Menhire du Coulet (B)

            Many menhirs were erected in brut form. Straight from the rock as it levered or cracked. Some menhirs were shaped a little, with rough parallel lines, oval top edges, almost head like top semi circles, or central points. Menhirs that have been fully shaped into symmetrical form are quite rare. All edges and all surfaces receiving the attention of an idea and a stone tool. Of these forms, some resemble giant 'essential' tools. With time, cracks appear on the faces of the most polished surface. The above series are all different in form while while having been afforded the greatest attention.
