US service members become Americans in Africa

            CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (Jan. 25, 2012) – U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Kelan Scott,  a utilitiesman in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, holds a miniature American flag given to him by his fellow sailors after he officially became an American citizen January 25 at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. Scott, immigrated from St. Lucia and took the Oath of Allegiance to the United States in front of fellow sailors during a naturalization ceremony held at a camp recreation facility.
