Echidna at Mt Field National Park - a photo on Flickriver

            There always seemed to be a few Echidna snuffling around on the flat area near the campsite. They were quite used to people and didn’t seem to mind being photographed if you gave them space to move past you. This one eventually lifted its head out of the dirt and sniffed the air, with ants still clinging to its spines.
