Pfuhlschnepfe (Limosa lapponica) auf einer Feuchtwiese

            Die Pfuhlschnäpfe besitzt eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit mit der Uferschnepfe, hat allerdings kürzere Beine und einen etwas kürzeren, nach oben gebogenen Schnabel und einen kürzeren Hals.
Sie ist nur auf dem Durchzug bei uns zu beobachten. Dabei rastet sie an der Küste, im Watt, an Stränden und Feuchtgebieten. Sie brütet im hohen Norden in der Tundra und in Taigamooren.
