CUT BACKS...

            The once busy yard at Machynlleth is looking that it has come to the end of it's useful life. NOW IDENTIFIED CORRECTLY AS NEWTOWN!!!!!!!

This is a photo from my collection with photographer unknown. He must have been local and taken scenes of local social history so as not to be concerned with focusing on the train.

The class25's are unidentified at this stage Newtown September 1984.

NOTE REFERRING TO MY WRONG IDENTIFICATION OF MACHYNLLETH BUT STILL INTERESTING! Do you remember when a couple of the sidings had GWR Iron Mink wagon bodies acting as buffer stops? They were certainly still there in the mid 1970's as I remember seeing them.
