Heading For The Final Barrel - a photo on Flickriver

Here, the team of rider and horse are heading for the final barrel of their speed run. They have to round this barrel, and then sprint for the finish line. As you can see, the horse is starting its sideways lean to prepare itself for getting as close to the barrel as possible without knocking it over. If they knock the barrel over, there is such a heavy penalty that they lose all hope of winning. The best teams cut it extremely close without knocking it over. Some of the others,... not so much.
