The soccer mom saga. - a photo on Flickriver

            It was  1:30 pm on a Wednesday so I wasn't expecting my doorbell to chime. I cursed loudly and stood up and sat my blunt in the ashtray as the chiming continued to pierce the silence . My comfy leather recliner creaked as I turned it to get past my coffee table  and I eventually made my way down the stairs. When I reached the door I looked  through the glass and saw my best friend's gorgeous face smiling back at me. " Open the door King, " she screamed shaking her head from side to side impatiently like I was taking too long.. I quickly opened the door and  took a step backwards giving her ample room to move past me.  She walked... no  that is not the right word for it , She sauntered her way into my hallway and looked me up and down, I  suddenly tensed up and began looking at myself. For some reason I felt naked under her judgey gaze. In reality I was wearing some grey joggers and a white tank, None the less she gave me that eye that  black women do when they think you are up to something."Hmmmm." she said in a haughty tone. "What?!" I replied  defensively. She gestured her hand to me as if it was obvious. " look at You! You out here answering the door in your thot attire, This is not acceptable." she said definitively as her lips parted into a smile. I was over the whole exchange. My face went blank  and I shook my head as i turned my back to her  "If you don't shut that shit up ." i said as I closed the door and turned to follow her up the stairs and back into my living room.
