WMT Metrobus 2667, Ripley's, Carlton, 2017

            Former West Midlands, MCW Metrobus 2667 was another reasonably long term survivor in Geoff Ripely's scrap yard at Carlton, South Yorkshire. The bus had seen its days out working for Goodsir Coaches of Anglesey, mainly on school contract work.

Fortunately 2667 survived long enough to yield many body parts to assist the rebuild of preserved West Midlands Metrobus 2764. As a WMPTE bus, 2667 had at one time carried all over exterior advertising for West Midland PTE's 'Travelcard' pre-paid ticketing. The bus had been painted yellow and blue, and although painted over, enough of the old paint could be revealed to provided a colour match for the repaint of 2764 into a similar all-over advert livery.
