Darling Point Wharf - a photo on Flickriver

            The ferry wharf has a great view of Sydney harbour. McKell Park, where the photo was taken, once was part of the grounds of Lindesay (previous photo).

Darling Point's colonial history starts with an 1828 application for land by Arthur Kemmis. His mooted whaling operation was declined by Governor Darling as the area was already marked for public use and instead established in Neutral Bay. It would have less chance of getting up now...
