            Le cimetière de la Vallée des Zouaves est située à Souchez au chemin des Écouloirs (lieu-dit les Écouloirs). Il a une superficie de 1641 m2 . Il a été construit en 1916 et fermé en juin 1917.
233 soldats y reposent dont 93 canadiens.
Henri Barbusse, dans son livre Carnet de guerre, évoque le site :
« Je suis allé avec le cinquième bataillon au talus des Zouaves. Ce talus pris dans notre attaque du 28, atteint par les Zouaves dans l'attaque du 7 (…) Le ravin et les talus qui s'étendent sur plusieurs kilomètres de longueur ne sont plus qu'une vaste nécropole. Partout des cadavres momifiés, squelettiques, réduits à l'état de petits tas mêlés de boue rougeâtre. »
