Vista de les ruines del monestir cistercenc femení de Vallsanta, entre Ciutadella i Guimerà, a la Segarra. Fou la continuació del monestir més antic de Bovera, situat just a sobre. Funcionà des del 1237 fins1589, en que fou abandonat (ja des del 1409 estava en decadencia i molt poques monges). Abandonat, l'edifici va anar enrunant-se.

Afortunadament fa uns anys fou excavat arqueologicament i parcialment restaurat, tot i que hi manca cap tipus d'aparcament que en faciliti la visita.

View of the ruins of the Cistercian nunnery of Vallsanta, between Ciutadella and Guimerà, in La Segarra, western Catalonia. It was the continuation of the older nunnery of Bovera, located just in the hills above. It functioned from 1237 to 1589, when it was abandoned (it had already been in decline since 1409 and had very few nuns). Abandoned, the building fell into ruin.

Fortunately, a few years ago it was excavated archaeologically and partially restored, although there is no type of parking that would facilitate the visit.
