La catedral de San Bertran / Saint Bertrand cathedral

La imponent catedral de St. Bertrand de Comenge (St. Bertrand de Comminges en francès), és una gran edificació gòtica, destacant per sobre de la petita i medieval població a la que dona nom. De fet, la ciutat romana de Lugdunum Convenarum donà lloc a la Comenge medieval, però aquesta només agafà importancia amb la construcció de la catedral pel mateix Bertrand de L'Isle, bisbe del lloc.

The imposing gothic cathedral of St. Bertrand de Comminges, in the french Pyrenees. It's huge mass soars above the medieval center of the village, itself toping a hill. The ruins of the roman city of Lugdunum Convenarum lay at it's feet.
