1979 Mitsubishi L200, Denver Autos

Scanned from the Spring 1980 No. 4 issue of Colt Cars magazine, this is an interesting article to me for several reasons. The L200 is now extremely rare here, maybe even extinct? Sadly DVLA says this customised example, which I could just about make was registered GPV40V, came off the road in 1991.

I managed to call in and see the old dealership (see other photos in this set) and even have a quick chat with Skid. I'm hoping he might be unable to unearth a few old photos. Great photo of the man himself here: stockcar.racersreunion.com/photo/skid-parish-superstox-dr...

I wonder if the pickup commissioned by Colt Car Company got built and made it to the Motor Show? Have to keep an eye out for that one.

Update: Skid Parish died late in 2012.
