Old Financial Center in 3D - a photo on Flickriver

            I brought along my new 3D camera to trip to L.A.'s Fashion District, which has a mix of old commercial and industrial buildings and warehouses, many of them now renovated.  I wanted to test the ability of my camera to capture 3D images at a distance.  With my bigger camera I can increase the amount of separation between the two images that go into a stereo image, which increases the 3D effect for objects at a distance.  The dedicated 3D camera has a fixed distance between the two lenses (7.5 cm) but it still manages to capture decent 3D views of these buildings several hundred feet away.

To see this image in 3D cross your eyes until the two photos appear to become three images.  Concentrate on the "center" image, adjusting your focus back up and forth until it pops into view as 3D.
