            Biwmares / Beaumaris, looking across the Menai Strait to Bangor. For nearly an hour it was clearly raining on the other side of the water, but at Beaumaris it stayed dry, although it seemed very murky. On a clear day the backdrop is the mountains of Snowdonia, some being palely visible on the left-hand side of the photo.
