2023 WATERLOO Like a true conqueror!

In his first year racing at the elite level, THIBAU NYS won Sunday's opening round of the 2023-2024 UCI Cyclocross World Cup on a challenging course in Waterloo, Wisconsin, USA. Nys's Baloise Trek Lions teammate Pim Ronhaar (3th) enjoyed his first elite World Cup podium, with Eli Iserbyt from Pauwels Sauzen as the runner up.
Thibau Nys (2002) is a Belgian cyclocross and road cyclist. He is the son of former cyclo-cross world champion Sven Nys.
In road cycling Thibau Nys (as a promise) was victorious in 2022 in the 3rd stage of the Flèche du Sud, a race in the UCI-Europe Tour. Nys also took the overall victory. These were his first victories on the road as a professional. The young Nys achieved his first professional victory in the Tour of Norway in 2023. On a sloping finish he sprinted everyone off the wheel.
