Plockton - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a good example of the wonders of the modern digital cameras. The light was horrible, in that the background was reasonably well lit whilst the foreground certainly wasn't. As I don't have any graduated filters it had to be a case of exposing for the background and hoping that something could be done later with dark foreground. Here is the finished result which looks nothing like the scene in real life and even less like the original Raw file. Honestly, to my eyes, it looks artificial but it's miles better than the out of camera image.
