A member of the footplate crew contacts the signalman to get permission to enter Manton Colliery to coal up the locomotives.

S&D Fowler Class 7F 2-8-0 No 53809 and BR Class 8P 4-6-2 No 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' wait in the siding.
They had been visiting a BR Worksop Depot open day back in 1991.

The Collery has long gone but the siding remains and is used occasionally by empty units and test trains.
