L'energia solare in Italia è molto sfruttata ma non tanto quanto il clima mediterraneo consentirebbe.
L’energia che regala il sole è stata da subito riconosciuta nella storia dell’Umanità. Già le antiche civiltà indiane, così come i romani e i greci, hanno capito che potevano sfruttare il sole per riscaldare ambienti e beni di uso quotidiano, anche grazie ad amplificatori esterni come il vetro.
Possiamo però affermare con un certo orgoglio che l’origine del fotovoltaico è italiana, grazie ad Alessandro Volta, inventore del primo generatore elettrico (la pila), dal quale tutto ha inizio. Non a caso, la parola “fotovoltaico” deriva dalla combinazione di phos,cioè “luce” in greco, proprio con il nome Volta.
L’Italia sin dagli anni 90 si piazza tra i precursori per l’installazione di impianti fotovoltaici, grazie a diversi piani incentivanti attivati nel tempo, come il Conto Energia, la Detrazione Fiscale 50% e lo Scambio Sul Posto. Anche oggi il nostro Paese primeggia: il 50% dell’energia deriva da fonti rinnovabili e ci piazziamo sul podio mondiale, al terzo posto per potenza di fotovoltaico installata a fine 2014.
