Yes, got to the sunbed first! - a photo on Flickriver

            Caught in a shaft of light in a wooded area, this little Speckled Wood butterfly (Pararge aegeria) looks like it's basking on a July day on the slopes of Apedale Country Park in Staffordshire.
This area has been reclaimed from its old industrial past where it was once an open cast coal mine.
