PW trains at Nuneaton - a photo on Flickriver

            Class 31s 31229+31154 and Class 20s 20094+20051 at Nuneaton on Saturday 14 September 1985. Both pairs of locos are coupled to engineering trains, possibly in readiness for some pw work the following day?

20051 was new, as D8051, in March 1961. It was withdrawn from service in September 1989 ad was scrapped by Booths at RFS Kilnhurst in September 1993. 20094 was new, as D8094, in October 1961 and was withdrawn from service in July 1992. It was scrapped by Cymru Metals in Llanelli in May 2004.

31154 was built in D5572 in December 1959 and was withdrawn in September 1999. It was scrapped by Ron Hull Junior in July 2006. Finally, 31229 was built as D5655 in September 1960 and was withdrawn in January 1998. It was scrapped at EMR in Kingsbury in August 2001.
