            I was on a wreath-making workshop at Arundel WWT in the afternoon, so packed up some lunch to spend a while wandering around the Wetland Centre first.
My first visit to the four Dalmatian Pelicans which are fairly new additions to the captive birds on display.
I also met the lesser-spotted Bill Brooks, who had seen a firecrest. We both watched it for a while until it disappeared without a trace.
Cold but dry, it was just warm enough to eat my sandwiches outside with a pot of tea.
