33035 Soho Depot

            A convoy of preserved locos ran from Barrow Hill to Kidderminster on Wednesday 4th May. 0Z55 started from Carnforth with 57601, which collected 56301, 37503, D9009 and 33035 at Barrow Hill before heading south to the SVR. The train passed Bescot, running about 20 early. However things went wrong by the time the train had got to Soho Junction, with the Class 33 running a hot box. It was detached at London Midlands Soho EMU depot, and as a result didn't make the diesel weekend at the Swanage railway, which is where the locos were all heading. 33035 stayed at Soho until it was passed as safe to move by rail to Bodens Rail depot at Washwood Heath. 31190 did the honours on the evening of the 22nd May.
