Waikiki burning sky at dusk - a photo on Flickriver

            It had been, overall, a bad week for skies in Hawai‘i, thanks to the vog.  But things opened up from time to time, and I had to be patient and just make sure that my camera was on me at all times. This particular evening, it began to get nice just after the sun set, and left just enough cloud cover in the perfect spot to reflect the lights of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki.  I was out to dinner with friends, and so I didn't have a tripod.  So I used the edge of a stone wall in order to get this long-ish exposure.  Seen here from the beach in front of the Outrigger Club, near the foot of Diamond Head.
