Spegazzini - Parque Nacional de los Glaciares -EXPLORE 15 Marzo 2013

             Nel Parque Nacional de los Glaciares, il Ghiacciaio Spegazzini, deve il suo nome al botanico Carlos Spegazzini il primo a realizzare studi approfonditi sulla flora di questa regione.
Lungo 25 km e largo un chilometro e mezzo, questo ghiacciaio si caratterizza per avere, tra tutti i ghiacciai del lago, il fronte più alto in assoluto, ben 135 metri.
Mentre in altre parti del mondo  i ghiacciai si originano solo a partire dai 2500 metri di altezza, in questa regione, a causa della particolare conformazione geografica, e delle imponenti precipitazioni nevose cui è soggetta, essi si originano a partire da soli 1500 metri, e da lì scorrono fino a 200 metri sul livello del mare erodendo le montagne che li supportano.

En el Parque Nacional de los Glaciares, Glaciar Spegazzini, debe su nombre al botánico Carlos Spegazzini el primero en hacer amplios estudios sobre la flora de esta región.
25 km de largo y una milla de ancho, este glaciar se caracteriza por tener, entre todos los glaciares del lago y un frente  de 135 metros.
Mientras que en otras partes del mundo, los glaciares se originan sólo desde los 2500 metros de altura, en esta región, debido a la zona geográfica en particular y la impresionante nevada que está sujeta, se originan a partir de tan sólo 1500 metros de altura, y desde allí corren hasta 200 metros sobre el nivel del mar.

In the Parque Nacional de los Glaciares, Glacier Spegazzini, owes its name to the botanist Carlos Spegazzini the first to make extensive studies on the flora of this region.
25 km long and a mile wide, this glacier is characterized by having, among all the glaciers of the lake, opposite the highest ever, more than 135 meters.
While in other parts of the world, glaciers originate only from the 2500 meters high, in this region, due to the particular geographical and the impressive snowfall which it is subject, they originate from just 1500 meters, and from there run up to 200 meters above sea level eroding mountains that support them.
