Here's to a Speedy Recovery Kerala! - a photo on Flickriver

            In the southern part of India, is an area called Kerala. It's name sounds like a word from a joyful lullaby. It is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in India. Soaring tea terraces, palm-lined backwaters where house boats meander and Cochin where Chinese fishing nets frame the bay are the memories I still cherish.  The area has just suffered the worst monsoon on record. I know the area will recovery. I saw it is the smiling determined faces of the wonderful people I met there.
