Introduced in 1965 as the Riley version of the BMC ADO16, with twin SU carburettors, walnut veneer and a rev counter

From late 1968 a Mark II version was launched with either 1100 or 1300cc versions on the BMC A Series engine and an Automatic transmission option. the 1300s had an all syncromesh gearbox as standard, close ratio gears and the Mini Cooper S engine..
The Mk.II Riley was introduced in October 1968 and the Kestrel part of the name dropped. The Riley 1300 Mk.II was cancelled in July 1969 and was the last Riley
