Sympathy

            One of the things I've been doing recently is making my own greeting cards.  It's been great - for a friend's birthday I had a shot of his dog lounging in a chair, for my friend with the lake house I used one of the fireworks photos taken at her place, etc.  I like that it makes the card more personal.  Not to mention, I've never been one to keep cards around the house and I usually forget to go buy one.  So this way I'm ready for anything!

A neighbor passed away yesterday.  I chose this for the sympathy card we will send to her family.  I just wanted to share because I thought it fit the occasion well.  If I were cropping this photo to share here on flickr, I probably would have left more room at the top and taken more off on the right.  However, I was limited by the dimensions of a card (8.5 x 5.5 inches).  So it's interesting to be constrained by the size of the final product.  I chose to offset it with the quote.
