Unidentified Merseyrail Class 507/8 (11.24 Southport - Hunts Cross).

            A Merseyrail Class 507/8 EMU is captured in the only gap available having just left Sandhills station on Merseyside. 
A shot overlooking the River Mersey I have had in mind for a long time.
After leaving home in clear light I was dismayed to find a build up of cloud the closer I got to Liverpool. I parked up and got a call from a friend for a lengthy chat during which I noted out to sea beyond New Brighton it was improving and after an hour I set the camera up on the tripod and waited. 
 This is a busy section of Merseyrail but it took over an hour to get this as the 507/8's are not on every working and even so are only yellow on one side and it needed to be that side to stand out. It was high tide and five ships passed in the time I was there, this one coincided perfectly.
