Liver Buildings - a different view - a photo on Flickriver

            This monument celebrates the founder of The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Sir Alfred Lewis. However, there is only a small bust of him on the front of the monument. The crowned figure here, holds a ship on a globe, which apparently represents Liverpool and it's nautical heritage.
