Comet NEOWISE over Mt Diablo - a photo on Flickriver

            Early alarm to get my first peek at Comet NEOWISE. If  you know where to look, its easy to find with binocs, and then you can easily see it (albeit faded) in the hazy dawn sky.

I shot this a few minutes from my warm bed, at a high point in my hometown, which has terrific views over the San Francisco Bay towards Mt. Diablo. 

 Looking forward to enjoying this in the evening sky in the coming weeks (hopefully!)
