CIE Dublin City Leyland buses, Marlborough Street terminus, c1980

            A few more of the ghastly c1980 photos have surfaced - a throwaway camera I'm afraid (all it was fit for!) but the images, even if technically grim, do show somethings of interest. Here on the northside terminus at Marlborough St in Dublin we see the two later types of CIE Leyland Titans much favoured by the operator for many decades. I suspect both are running out of Clontarf Garage - in the background one of the wonderful Titan PD3/1 types on the 30 and in the foreground - determinedly out of service if the carefully set blinds are anything to go by, is one of the last deliveries - a Titan PD3A/6 of 1965. It looks like the first of the batch NZE 618 (R 909) that lasted in service until 1981.
