T53 Mosaic on PIA11149 February 2009 Titan Global Map full res

            T53 Mosaic superimposed on the PIA11149 Feb 2009 Global Titan Map.

The T53 mosaic was made from Cassini Raw images from the T53 Flyby.  Each image was stacked, gradient adjusted, edge brightened, then contrast adjusted, mosaic'd, then warped for the map projection.  The edges of the T53 mosaic were blended into the PIA11149 base image.

At this writing (4/27/2009), this is the best available image of the bright region to the SE of the Senkyo Sand Sea.  However, there are artifacts present in the mosaic (dust rings, seam joins, etc.).  The brightness and contrast levels of the T53 mosaic have been subjectively set and were not rigorously determined.

The center of the image is at approximately [-35S, 300W].  The image scale is approximately 3500 km across the equator (at top of image).
