47435 at Crewe

            47435 is photographed at the head of a line of condemned locos south of Crewe Station, close to the site of where Crewe South Shed was located. Built in Loughborough and originally numbered D1550 the Brush Type 4 entered service with British Rail on January 21 1964 and allocated to Sheffield Darnell. 47435 was taken out of service on March 15 1990 and was eventually cut up by Booth’s of Rotherham.
