            North European Lime Trees have nothing to do with the citrus fruit. The name Lime is a corruption of the Middle English Lind. This evolved from the Old English word lind or linde, meaning "flexible, lenient, yielding". The word Linden, which appears in may British road names meant originally "made from Lind wood". Limeflower tea is can reduce inflamation of the mucous membranes.
