Routemaster RM London Bus - a photo on Flickriver

            One of the foremost icons on London street life is the classic red London Bus, or Routemaster. Manufactured from 1962 to 1968 the Routemaster were in regular use on London's bur oute through to December 9, 2005. The routemaster is now only used by London transport on two selected heritage routes.

In 2008 London Mayor Boris Johnson announced a competition to design a new double-decker Routemaster to once again return this London icon.
