            Elegance is the attribute of being unusually effective and simple. It is frequently used as a standard of tastefulness, particularly in the areas of visual design and decoration.
Elegant things exhibit refined grace and dignified propriety.
At least that’s what Wikipedia gives you for Elegant.
Me, I don’t know if I would know elegant if it knocked me on the head.
This lamp is something I picked up many years ago in Colorado. It has been sitting on my nightstand ever since. It does have an elegant look to it I think. 
Too bad I hardly ever turn it on.
