Wheeler Express 90 N901RC - a photo on Flickriver

            Here is a plane that is powered by a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V8 which has been adapted to spin the prop via a Prop Speed Reduction Unit.

This plane was destroyed in a crash in 2007 due to a ruptured fuel line.  The owner/pilot and occupants were uninjured and continued the development of the PSRU for other sizes of automobile engines and homebuilt aircraft.
