I.D.s 1208 & 05052 photographed by John Ward on 1972-09-15 of the Department of Government Transport (DGT) AEC Regent III 2509. The bus is the first AEC following the end off World War II to have its body built by Clyde Engineering of Granville in Sydney and was completed in 1951 -07-00.

The conductoress is standing on the rear platform as the bus is reversing and is winding its side destination roller to set it for its next service on Route 540 to Circular Quay in the City of Sydney.

The AEC had just returned to service after a major overhaul and a full repaint in mid 1972. From 1958-06-30 to 1989-12-00 all major repairs and overhauls were carried out at the Bus Workshops in Roberts Road Chullora in the Western Suburbs of Sydney.

The AEC is reversing from Blackwall Point Road into Riverview Street, Chiswick, Sydney, N.S.W. Australia.
