            Only 2 years after its Cinematic run, the S.H. Figuarts Green Goblin from No Way Home finally was released. To be fair, though, it's not like all the Hot Toy pieces are done either, and I think even some of the Legends are showing up.

Specifically, this is Goblin during the final battle, aka Hobo Goblin.

This figure, being a Tamashii Web exclusive was not cheap at all. Given the way things turned out, one could argue for either complete shit show or not terrible.

So contents wise, I have to admit I was disappointed to learn there was no cackling sculpt, just two neutral mood sculpts (goggles, none), forearm claw deployed effect, a single Pumpkin Bomb, and of course the Glinder.

Starting with the good, I suppose. The Glider is actually very nicely made. The wing can rotate and working pistons under the wing are neat have as they adjust automatically for the position of the wings. Sculpting on the glider is fantastic, though I must admit I miss the blades from the original Raimi version.

Sculpting on the figure itself is hit and miss. The face, well... look at it. It sort of resembles Dafoe.. if they sucked all the charisma out of the man and left a withered husk that resembles new Vince Mcmahon. Goggles on version is slightly better due to exactly the reason why you think it is - the dead eyes are hidden. The actual sculpting on the body is actually pretty good. You don't really see it, but there's quite a bit of asymmetrical battle damage on the suit.

Articulation is awkward, and just looking at the guy you knew it was going to be awkward. Still not Dr. Strange awkward with his single piece chest. The figure isn't gumby, but it should handle all but the most extreme poses on the Glider thanks to a relatively well articulated waist and torso area. Actual soft goods for the appropriate sections would have helped, but its' not like there is no room for maneuvering whatsoever. The hips are very similar to the  Dragonball Saiyan figures, but without that built in hip drop and the belt gets in the way of leg movement. I would have liked to see more head tilt, which would be easily incorporated into any diving Glider poses.

Paint Applications on this figure are beautiful. Not so much the face because that just generally looks like a dogs breakfast. But the paint work on the suit is fantastic. All those battle damaged sections need to be painted appropriately and I have to say there were no issues with the masking, nor were there any issues as it pertains to other non green sections. Speaking of green, this is one of the few Figuarts where it's 99% painted over. Metallic green is beautiful. For whatever reason, the unpainted surfaces include the belt and the purple sections, which totally could have been easily done. The underside of the feet I can understand. Paint work on the Glider is equally impressive with its masking and highlighting of various mechanical and weapon details. 

Build Quality wise, nothing to report.  Like Metal Cooler, I feel things are hitting their normal stride, despite being more complex than normal in terms of requirements. Joints are doing their job perfectly, and there were no major production blemishes or design flaws.  Even the Pumpkin Bomb fit perfecting into the hand it was designed to do so with.

An interesting figure that is definitely not going to please everyone. But it is a beautifully painted and produced piece that if paired with the Glider and a stand, will display very, very nicely.
