            From the back end , Leyland National 1151 / 2R / 0403 B44D 

New to this Operator a few months earlier in July-1973 . 

I do not as a rule like posting shots of damaged vehicles . But in view of the age and type of vehicle , I broke my own rule !
420 was subsequently fully repaired with modular body parts sent down from the Leyland National factory . The cause of the accident was the "Accelerator" pedal sticking in the down position , and was not caused at all by the Driver's actions . 
The Driver I understand although injured made a full recovery.
