Taken on the bank of the River Tavy, looking South West towards Tavy Bridge and the River Tarmar.

The River Tavy rises near Devil’s Tor on Dartmoor and flows through Tavistock to the Tamar, shaping the Bere Peninsula. It is popular for outdoor activities such as kayaking, birdwatching, and walking. Spanning its estuary is an 1889–90 railway bridge with iron bowstring girders and stone viaducts, built by the Plymouth Devonport South-Western Junction Railway Company and later taken over by the London and South Western Railway (LSWR) in 1922.
