The River Liffey - a photo on Flickriver

The River Liffey

            The city of Dublin was built on the River Liffey, which runs from the Wicklow mountains to the Irish Sea. From here you can see the Samuel Beckett bridge, one of two opening bridges on the river that allows ships to access the dockside berths. The wind was up the day I shot this and the river was choppy so I decided to try a long exposure shot with an ND filter. I was very pleased how it turned out - not just capturing the movement in the river but also in the sky.
