Wandering Ghost Spider - a photo on Flickriver

A new one for me - Thats what us Photoggers call a Lifer 

Argoctenus species - Wandering Ghost Spider, female, Miturgidae family of Prowling Spiders 

So incredibly fast even though she is down 2 limbs 

We could guess all day as to why..

 One thing we can be sure about. She wont be playing the piano for a while.

If she is lucky she can grow them back. By lucky I mean if she is not finished growing then in 1 or 2 moults she can have 2 new legs..,. ( A moult is when they shed the old exoskeleton because they have outgrown it)

Spiders also do not have pain receptors like we do. So if need be they will not hesitate to remove a limb that is causing them issues as in slowing them down or what not.

The extension tube was fitted but the lens was not set to 2X But Its nice to know it doesnt degrade the quality so its staying put.
