Tanat Valley: 259 YJ59 AZA, Oswestry

            A second VDL SB200, Wright Pulsar 2 arrived at the Tanat Valley fleet over the later part of the summer, and one with an interesting history. YJ59 AZA arrived from Sanders of Holt, Norfolk and notably the first of the type to leave that fleet.

A rare, bonded glass window example, only a batch in Arriva North East at Darlington I'm aware have this. It appears to have been on demonstration or hire to a number of operators, particularly in the North West and Yorkshire when new from dealer Arriva Bus & Coach before being acquired by Sanders.

It swaps the flat Norfolk terrain for more rugged borderlands around Oswestry and into North and Mid Wales.

It operates on a TrawsCymru T12 working, having operated back in from Machynlleth via Newtown, Welshpool and Oswestry, about to continue to Wrexham (Wrecsam caught in Welsh on the destination).
