Sword-billed Hummingbird (Ensifera ensifera)

            This hummingbird has the longest bill in relation to its body size of any bird in the world!  Found in the temperate zone of the Andes in montane forest and forest edges between around 2,500m to 3,500m.   We saw them at several sites but this one was in the gardens around Hacienda El Bosque (Caldas/Columbia).
