the Mournes in rain - a photo on Flickriver

            This is typical Mourne terrain, with heather, rock and bogs. And typical weather! Lots of wiping of the lens to do. 

Rocky Mountain is not the most imaginatively named hill in the Mournes or the biggest but it's one I keep going back to. This is on the way down past old quarries (lots of those in the Mournes). There's a lovely walk in from the south over Long Seefin shown here in the background, with the Irish Sea lost in the rain.

Just after taking this my right boot started falling apart and just about held together until I reached the car.
