            Class J11/5, locomotive, No.64377, from Shed No.41F, Mexborough M.P.D., built by Vulcan Foundry Limited, Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire, in 1904, is seen here in the yard, at Mexborough M.P.D., on 01/03/1959.

Built by Vulcan Foundry Limited, Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire, to Works No.1938, in 1904, as Class 9J, and delivered into service as Great Central Railway, No.248. The early history of this locomotive is unknown, but it is recorded as being allocated to the London and North Eastern Railway, Mexborough M.P.D., (Shed Code MEX), on 01/01/1948, where it was to remain, until withdrawn from service, on 20/07/1962. It is recorded that the locomotive was observed in British Railways, Gorton Locomotive Works, on 01/09/1962, and that it was scrapped on-site there, shortly thereafter, most probably during late October to early November 1962. The locomotive was renumbered, as No.5248, in May 1924, by the London and North Eastern Railway, then again renumbered, as No. 4377, in September 1946, by the London and North Eastern Railway, and then again renumbered, as No. 64377, in August 1950, by British Railways.
