CAI524-DA.1935-1944, Class V2, No.60982, (Shed No.50A, York North), approaching Beighton Station Signal Box & Level Crossing, view looking South-18-04-1964

            Built by the London and North Eastern Railway, Darlington Works, to Works No.1935, in 1944, and delivered to York North M.P.D., on 21/06/1944. Following some time at Darlington M.P.D., this locomotive was transferred back to York North M.P.D., (Shed No.50A), on 08/10/1955, from where it was withdrawn, on 05/10/1964. It is believed to have been scrapped at Darlington Works, on 16/10/1964.

The locomotive is viewed here, on the G.C.R. main line, on a down mixed freight service, approaching Beighton Station Signal Box and Level Crossing. The view is looking South, on 18/04/1964.
